The TD Edmonton International Jazz Festival is excited to present an evening with not one but two Grammy® Award-winning, international acts!
Experience the charisma, power and beauty of five-time Grammy® Award-winner and legendary jazz vocalist DIANNE REEVES.As one of today’s preeminent jazz vocalists, Reeves offers breathtaking virtuosity, improvisational prowess, and unique jazz and R&B stylings that have delighted audience around the globe. From R&B to pop, folk and rock – she owns them all with her lush, crystal-clear voice. .
With collaborators ranging from all-time greats Harry Belafonte and Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis to new guard Esperanza Spalding, Robert Glasper and Lalah Hathaway, it’s been said that Reeves is the true heir to Ella Fitzgerald’s queen of jazz throne.

Los Angeles native, BILLY CHILDS (Quartet) is a multi-time Grammy® Award-winning pianist, arranger, producer and composer who has performed and/or collaborated with Sting, Diane Reeves, Chick Corea, The Kronos Quartet, Wynton Marsalis, Jack DeJohnette, Dave Holland, Yo-Yo Ma, Chris Botti, Michael Bublé to name a few. Over the years, Childs has continued to develop his own voice as both a pianist and a composer in jazz and classical music. The Los Angeles Times has this to say about his irrefutable talent…“A first-class pianist deeply influenced by Herbie Hancock and McCoy Tyner, he’s an articulate improviser whose solos range from the tuneful to the tempestuous.
